visual design reading week 5


While reading chapter 18 of the book "The Art of Game Design",  by Jesse  Schell (Third edition) I find it very interesting how important characters are to a any type of scene being created. I understand more of how people want to play a game to be able fantasize themselves as a the character they are playing and it plays a major role on how much they are enjoying the game.  You can either make a more detailed character with a lot of player customizations or have character not very detailed but iconic in a way and make sense for the world you are building. Your story for the game is very important for the character to be able to be appealing to the people playing it. I also see that it is good to make a character web showing all the feelings and emotions your character might feel so that you can have a better idea how your character would react to something happening in the game. Also the relationships the character has with other things in the game is important.
